I saw a $14.95 charge to my account with the following description, CIC*CE CREDIT REPORT 800-3888725 CA, and I new it was related to the free credit report I requested last month.

However, you will not be eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of your current month’s paid membership fee. To cancel, please contact Customer Care at

After making the phone call to cancel my membership I received and email cancellation confirmation.

But we would like to thank you for choosing Experian® as your credit monitoring provider.This e-mail confirms that we have received your request to cancel Triple Advantage(SM) Credit Monitoring. We are currently processing your request, and this change will take effect on 7/22/2008.
No further monthly membership fees will be applied to your credit card.
Rest assured, you will still have unlimited access to the many features and benefits of Triple Advantage(SM) Credit Monitoring until 7/22/2008, when your membership expires. At that time, you will receive a final cancellation confirmation e-mail.

I cancelled my membership last Nov. Did anyone else have to say, “No, I’m cancelling my membership!” more than 20 times to the operator?! First, they offered me a discount for one month, then a discount for three months, then one month free, then SIX months free. She tried transferring me to a different person who could “help me better,” but I knew what that meant, so I told her she’d better stay on the line and CANCEL my subscription. At this point I was getting upset, for it should NOT have been this complicated. At the end of the 23 minute phone call which shouldn’t have taken longer than 2, she hurled a veiled insult at me, “Well sir, I hope that you will take better care of your credit in the future than this.” I will NEVER go back to them or recommend them to anyone!

Dearsir or madem the whole situation is getting rediculouse i applied for a morgage you advised my lender that i had a bad credic report so i got into a free trial membership my report is clean 100% i sent you an email and canceled my free trial and you are still taking money from my account i have been sending many cancelation emails and you havent canceled my membership i want you to cancel it once and for all i think this company is just a ripoff lieng and cheating so people will enter their bank details in order for you to0 drain their money you have done this to me in the past and after i have been trying to cancel my membership for many months you have ignored my cancelations and have continuedto take money from my account i do not know what the gouvernment are doing about it but you should not be allowed to run a buiseness steeling money from people.

I called 1-888-829-6560. The woman I spoke to was very pleasant, albeit persistent. After about three iterations of how their services would protect me, each time I politely repeated that I would like them to cancel my account.
She said thank you and stated I would see any charges and I would be getting a confirmation email. I received the email in less than an hour.
No big deal; just say ‘no’!

latara, it was only free for a 14-day trial membership. I don’t understand why everyone is requesting the service be cancelled on THIS Web site. You have to call the 1-800 number to cancel.

Not true. Not that easy. I called them twice to cancel my account and the 2nd time I promised to sue if they kept charging me. You know what I got instead of a cancelation letter? I got a letter telling me that they have raised their price due to cost of service. I am working with a lawyer now to sue them because they are still charging after I requested twice to STOP.

Please cancel my experian membership and stop the automatic deduction. It is so frustrating because the provided number to contact (1888-829-6560) does not have live person. I tried FIVE times just to listen to their recording then totally lost the line. I tried the online but ads to get into Experian kept on popping up. PLEASE CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
