It was the end of Deron's first grade school year when he asked me to learn him how to write in cursive. That was not a problem, I showed him right away.
Starting of with simple letters, I progressed him to writing whole words in cursive. It was very important for me to change up the words very often to keep his interest. I didn't want to lose his motivation by having him write ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball.
So now we're halfway through summer, and I've only gotten in one writing lesson. I like to finish and complete my projects so yesterday I gave him lesson number two. This time I showed him new letters and pushed him into writing whole sentences.
Finally, I had my little Deron write a whole new story in cursive. It came out good. Check it out on the photo.
This mission accomplished, but practice always makes perfect.
