Ms. Latina Renee, MsMoneyGirl Book Review, by Ms. Latina Renee

before you leave junk in your trunk

Chapter three helps us to remember to clean out our cars. The Bishop refers to Beyonce to describe junk in your trunk in addittion to a friend who had all types of un-sightly items stored away in the back of his car that looks something like this. The book questions readers, "Can you relate to this?". And my answer, No!

I usually follow a good habit of getting rid of food wrappers at the gas station each time I stop for gas to prevent any pile ups. Not to mention the good ole routine of taking my trash with me upon exiting the car.

But the real lesson that can be taken from this passage is to look beyond what you see. As Judge Mablean Ephriam says, "Look deep before you leap". Sure, we should connect this to what Jesus said about the Pharisees on page 49 of Before You Do for diligence. However, we can always take time to clean our own house.

Some of the same principles of cleaning out your car or house can be applied to the way we handle emotional and psycological baggage we need not to carry. That way there's a fresh air of freedom from past issues when entering new relationships or a new marriage.
